Meet Dr. Stephanie Meyer
Dr. Stephanie Meyer is dedicated to helping people like you in the Chippewa Valley achieve clear vision and healthy eyes. As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Meyer has a passion for eye care and is ready to give you and your family the high-quality eye care you deserve. Dr. Meyer believes that it was fate and her desire to help others that brought her into this profession. After writing an English paper on optometry in high school, she knew it was the place she needed to be. When she moved for college, she got a job as a sales associate working in an optometry office to ensure it was the path she wanted to follow. It turns out it was exactly what she was destined to do!
In 2016 Dr. Meyer began seeing patients and has been committed to giving them first-rate eye care through education, communication, and friendly personalized care.
Dr. Meyer was raised in Tomah, WI. She and her family are now happy to call Eau Claire, WI, home. In her spare time: Dr. Meyer enjoys reading mystery novels, stand-up comedy shows, puzzles, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Meet Dr. Natalee Frie
Dr. Frie has been with our practice for almost 20 years – she moved to the Eau Claire/Altoona area just after graduating from Southern College of Optometry in 2003. Her undergraduate education was with Western Kentucky University, where she was raised in the south-central part of the state. From a young age, Dr. Frie was always interested in Optometry, wearing glasses since childhood. In undergrad, she worked as an optometric technician and cared for her grandmother who was dealing with Macular Degeneration,. Over the past 20 years, she has appreciated the many changes and advancements in optometry and is always eager to learn and apply more in order to help our patients with their eyecare needs.
In addition to Dr. Frie’s passion for her patients, she also enjoys volunteering in the community, traveling to Kentucky and New Jersey to visit family, reading, playing tennis with her family, and beach vacations whenever possible. Almost all who know her would also say she’s an avid Elvis Presley fan. In fact, you just might spot The King in a couple spots at our office if you look closely!
Meet Dr. Laura Schroeder
Dr. Laura Schroeder is thrilled to bring her optometric skills to her hometown of Altoona. Her undergraduate career was at University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and she continued her optometric education at Rosenberg School of Optometry in Texas. After practicing in Black River Falls and Neillsville for nearly a decade, she is looking forward to caring for the community that raised her.
While getting her biology degree, Dr. Schroeder realized that she wanted to help people see their best like her own optometrist did for her. This has led her to a rewarding career prescribing glasses and contacts along with treating various eye conditions like glaucoma, dry eye, and foreign bodies.
Dr. Schroeder loves to hike, read anything and everything, and spend time on the lake with her friends and family. You’ll find her spending time with her cats, watching Harry Potter, listening to live music, and traveling.
